Where is the Elgin Valley?

Elgin is situated in a coastal plateau just east of Cape Town and until the 1990’s it was South Africa’s prime apple growing region. It is now recognized as the country’s coolest wine grape growing appellation producing outstanding Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Across all varieties the wines are defined by freshness, persistence and purity of fruit, elegance and delicacy in structure.
